ZOOKI PACKAGING STRATEGY
Ultimately, the objective of this project was to improve Zooki’s subscription packaging strategy through the design of a letterbox-friendly, self-supporting pack that enhances convenience, reduces delivery costs, and increases in-home brand visibility.
Year: 2021
Status: Complete, Prototype
Problem Statement
Zooki’s existing subscription packaging was inefficient, requiring customers to be home for delivery, limiting brand visibility, and incurring high postage costs.
Research Insights
To address packaging inefficiencies, I analysed Zooki’s postage model and surveyed over 90 customers to understand storage and delivery preferences. Insights revealed the need for a slim, single-sheet design that could fit through letterboxes while providing easy usability.

Ideation
Concept generation and prototyping activities were driven by three main objectives, transformability, manufacturability and optimising for ease of use. It was important to develop a solution that would be user-friendly. If the package was at all fiddly, it would end up in the back of a dark cupboard and would therefore fail to advertise the brand.
The Solution
The solution was this simple two-part fold. The user removes a rip-strip and folds the package to reveal its contents and advert space.
